The Penn Stroud Stroudsburg - Poconos, an Ascend Collection Hotel

I came here with my family of four to go skiing at Camelback over Valentine’s Day weekend. The room and facilities were really nice. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Unfortunately, our neighbors decided to have a shouting match throughout the middle of the night. I called the front desk twice to complain about the noise. Helen contacted me first thing in the morning to check on how things went. She was very attentive, professional and empathetic. When I went to check out the next day, the hotel manager, Keyur, was fully aware of our situation and ensured us that new and proper protocols were put in place to prevent such incidents in the future. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism of the staff and am fully prepared to book another stay in the near future! The hotel was lovely and the neighborhood clean and very family friendly!

Front office lady, Cantrece was extremely helpful and nice to my whole family during our few day stay. Robert at the breakfast room made sure there were some eggs left for me and fresh coffee. I am always looking forward to staying in your hotel where I can relax and be taken care for after lots of work prepping for xmas and smooth travel for the whole family. See you next year!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It’s located in a very nice area with plenty of restaurants nearby and a Starbucks just a short walk away, which was super convenient. The location was perfect, only about 20 minutes from Camelback Mountain and an even shorter drive to the outlets. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. The rooms were comfortable, spotless, and the beds were especially cozy. We also really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. it was very nice and my children absolutely loved it. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and overall we had a great experience. We truly have no complaints and would highly recommend this hotel. We would definitely stay here again!

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were nice and courteous. House keeping opened my door without knocking. Luckily I had the top latch opened to prevent the door from being opened all the way. The house keeping staff apologized tremendously. She admitted she came to the wrong room. I would at least make sure you’re going to the correct room and following protocol/procedures before just opening the door. The late night noise didn’t bother me because I was provided ear plugs by the hotel. I didn’t get breakfast because I slept in. The parking was convenient but looked like I was pulling into a parking garage but it wasn’t. I didn’t like how you had to go to different floors for certain amenities. Signs were posted in the elevator and in the lobby on a crafty chalk board giving you the heads up. Over nice clean establishment and will return for another staycation in the near future.

Keyur Patel and Cantrece were absolutely amazing at checking us out. They were even kind enough to extend the breakfast for us and I have to l say, breakfast was delicious! The room accommodations were perfect. Very nice, comfortable and clean. Also, huge thank you to Ramario for checking us in and a big shout out to Robert for helping us with the waffle machine! We will definitely stay at The Penn Stroud in the future. Thank you again!

We had a great experience all around! The hotel is in a great location right on main Street with easy walking to tons of stores and restaurants. They have parking right there on the property and even an unload area that is fully covered. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was tasty with a waffle machine and other basic things. The breakfast room is on the second floor and overlooks the main Street which is also nice. The people who worked at the front desk were very friendly as well.

Quiet, clean, and great location! Keyur Patel, manager, went above what was expected in customer service. The continental breakfast is great, but if you have specific dietary needs, bring those food items with you to supplement. Fridge in each room. Plenty of outlets scattered around room and at the bed(s). Complimentary parking that is safe. Sarah’s Bar & Grill in town has a pool table and surprisingly decent sushi.

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was great! Very clean, staff was very nice, breakfast was great and the location was perfect. So many great places within walking distance..stores, restaurants, bars etc. will definitely be going back
